Originally from Rochester, New York, Selene is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Southern California. She spent her first year at USC as a pre-med neuroscience major and was awarded the Albert Fisher Scholarship in Science. Ultimately, she decided to follow her passion for the arts and earned her degree in Public Relations with a minor in Theatre. On campus, she worked with USC’s Admission Office as a Student Ambassador and served as the president and treasurer of her beloved a cappella group. Off campus, she put her degree to work, interning at companies like DreamWorks and NBCUniversal. Prior to USC, Selene graduated salutatorian of her high school class as a National Merit Scholar, National AP Scholar, Presidential Scholar candidate, and Bronze Congressional Award Medalist. Selene has taught students in topics ranging from calculus to Shakespeare. As a teacher and tutor, she has helped hundreds of students raise their test scores through ACT, SAT, SSAT, and ISEE instruction. She teaches in a clear and methodical manner, while quickly adjusting to a student’s individual needs. While working with her students, Selene hopes to build their confidence as they reach their full potential.
