I wanted to let you know that Natalie was named a National Merit Semifinalist! We are thrilled for her and wanted to thank you for all of your help with her last summer. Both you and Michael effectively pinpointed her deficiencies and worked with her in a collaborative fashion. About 1.6 million students from approximately 22,000 high schools enter the National Merit Scholarship competition annually. Semifinalists represent the top 0.5 percent of each state's senior students. On the SAT, Natalie scored 740 on the verbal and 790 on the math.
